2. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Browser storage, such as localStorage, is similar but is mainly used by web apps to remember settings and tool data on your device. SportSort uses localStorage for planner data. This keeps your squad plan available between visits without sending it to our server.

3. Essential storage used by SportSort

The Tournament Planner uses localStorage to save your squad, player positions, ratings, games, and app settings in your own browser. This is essential for the planner experience because it lets you leave and return without losing your work.

• Planner data is stored on your device
• We cannot see your locally saved squad data
• No account or login cookie is used
• Clearing site data in your browser will remove locally saved plans

4. Google Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how SportSort is used. This helps us see which tools are useful, where people drop off, and what needs improving.

Google Analytics may set cookies that measure visits and activity across the site. We use this information in aggregate and do not use it to identify individual coaches. Analytics cookies are only loaded after you accept non-essential cookies.

5. Google AdSense advertising cookies

6. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services used on SportSort, mainly Google Analytics and Google AdSense. These third parties may process information according to their own policies.

• Embedded or linked third-party sites may set their own cookies if you visit them

7. Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, delete cookies for a specific site, or clear all site data.

If you clear SportSort site data, locally saved planner data may also be removed. Export your planner data first if you need to keep a backup.

8. What happens if cookies are blocked

The main SportSort tools should still be usable if analytics or advertising cookies are blocked. Some adverts may not display or may be less relevant. If all site storage is disabled, the planner may not be able to remember your squad between visits.

9. Cookies we do not use

• We do not use login cookies because SportSort has no account system
• We do not use cookies to store player names, ages, or personal details
• We do not sell cookie data to third parties
• We do not run our own cross-site tracking network
