1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using SportSort.uk (the "Site") or any tool hosted on it, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Site immediately.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone else who accesses or uses the Site.

2. About SportSort

SportSort.uk provides free online planning tools for grassroots sports coaches, including the Tournament Squad Planner and Football MatchDay Planner. Contact: enquiry@sportsort.uk.

3. No warranties - tools provided as-is

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including but not limited to:

• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy or completeness of any output, squad plan, or recommendation
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Site or tools
• That the Site will be free from viruses or other harmful components
• That data stored in your browser will not be lost or corrupted

4. No liability

This includes, without limitation, liability for:

• Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage
• Loss of data, squad plans, or any information stored in your browser
• Any decisions made by you (as a coach, parent, or team manager) based on tool output
• Any injury, disappointment, or dispute arising from squad selection or game planning
• Errors or inaccuracies in generated lineups, substitutions, or game time calculations
• Any downtime, outage, or technical failure of the Site or its tools
• Loss or corruption of data caused by browser updates, device changes, or clearing of browser storage
• Any third-party services linked to or integrated with SportSort (including Google Drive and OneDrive)

These limitations apply regardless of the form of action (contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

5. Your responsibility

You are solely and entirely responsible for:

• How you use the tools and how you interpret their output
• Any squad selection, lineup, or team management decision you make
• Ensuring your use of SportSort complies with the rules of your league, club, or governing body
• The welfare and fair treatment of all players, especially children
• Backing up any important data you enter into the tools (via export or screenshot)
• Any consequences, disputes, or complaints arising from decisions made using SportSort output

The tools are decision-support aids only. All final decisions are yours. SportSort does not and cannot make coaching decisions on your behalf.

6. Data and browser storage

Squad and player data you enter into SportSort is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. We have no access to this data. We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from clearing your browser storage, changing devices, browser updates, or any other cause. It is your responsibility to export and back up your data if it matters to you.

7. Third-party services

SportSort may link to or integrate with third-party services including Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Google Analytics, and Google AdSense. We have no control over these services and accept no liability for their availability, accuracy, or data practices. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that service's own terms and policies.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use SportSort to:

• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Site or its hosting infrastructure
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce the Site's content or tools for commercial purposes without permission
• Use the tools in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
• Introduce malicious code, viruses, or harmful data

We reserve the right to block access to the Site at our discretion.

9. Intellectual property

All content on SportSort.uk, including the tool interfaces, design, copy, and underlying code, is the property of SportSort.uk unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

Squad data you enter into the tools remains yours. We make no claim over it.

10. Changes to the Site and these terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

We may also change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site or its tools at any time without notice and without liability.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of SportSort shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
